And boy did I have questions. So I appreciated how in-depth the authors went when it came to the story about Kubrick's motivation for the project, and then the process of actually getting it made. That's not to say everything is answered, because Kubrick being Kubrick, well...My only problem with it was that it was a little to academic in tone. Compare to "The Big Goodbye" by Sam Wasson, about the making of "Chinatown". You see the difference between professors who decide to write a book on the one hand, and a real storyteller on the other. Nonetheless, worth the money and a good read.
